I was born in Barcelona, but I spent part of my childhood in the United States. There I
learned that people connect in very different ways. Behind every accent or custom there is a story waiting to be revealed. Since I was a child I have been deeply curious about people: what moves them, what holds them back, what transforms them. Listening, asking questions, and connecting became second nature to me.

Traveling developed into my way of understanding the world. I was not looking for monuments, but for conversations. Over the years, I have shared journeys with people of very different cultures, ages, and professions. In all of these encounters I found something new to learn. I consider myself an eternal scholar, someone who doesn't need to have all the answers, but who never stops asking questions.

Over time, I discovered in technology a powerful ally. Not as an end, but as a means. I am passionate about how, when used well, it can expand our human capabilities: connecting those who cannot find each other, giving a voice to those who are not heard, and multiplying our capacity to create. For me, true progress is that which brings us closer to who we are.

Damián "mich" micenmacher

I have pivoted professionally more times than my mother can understand.

When I landed in midlife crisis, I realized that this pluricuriosity (which often tormented me) was not a problem but a superpower: I am curious by nature.

When I came from Argentina to live in Spain, I had hair. After more than half of my life living between Barcelona and Asturias, hair has become a distant memory. I am fascinated by people. I don't play soccer. I don't drink mate. I don't dance tango. Napping should be a constitutional right. Eating delicious food fills me with happiness. At a Michael Jackson concert I had my first epiphany.

I have been working for more than 25 years on projects and for companies of many different colors: giant and small; complex and not so complex; accessible or bureaucratized.
Companies that make you want to go to work every day and companies from which you only expect a paycheck at the end of the month. After years of pushing myself, I am convinced that there are healthy ways to be in balance with work. That's the spark that drives me to co-create Dauxa.

🎬 ACTO I – DOS CONTINENTES, UNA VISIÓN
Xavi nació en Barcelona, Mich en Buenos Aires.
Y aunque nacieron a miles de kilómetros de distancia, sus caminos estaban destinados a cruzarse.

Xavi creció entre cámaras, guiones y entrevistas. Participa en su primera película en Los Angeles (donde vivía) con 10 años.
Estudió Comunicación Audiovisual en España y lo vivió con intensidad:
Reportero para TV3, disfruta contando hsitorias y más adelante recorriendo más de 20 países con MotoGP, donde trabaja con personas de más de 40 nacionalidades distintas.

Cuando aterriza en Barcelona, empieza a enseñar: Ciclos Superiores, UIC, su pasión por comunicar se traslada al aula también.

En 2007, entró a trabjajar en Apple en un giro inesperado.
Primero en ventas, luego como formador y finalmente liderando eventos B2B.
Allí conoció a Mich.


🎶 ACTO II – MÚSICA, TECNOLOGÍA Y AMISTAD
Mich, desde el otro lado del mundo, había aterrizado en Barcelona con una maleta llena de ideas.
Trabajaba en el mundo de los eventos musicales, con grandes como Primavera Sound y Cruïlla.
En Apple lideraba los eventos B2C.
Creativo, analítico, empático.
Y entre tanto evento, nació la amistad.

Ambos salieron de Apple con un mismo impulso:
Crear algo propio. Más humano. Más libre.
Xavi se fue antes, rumbo a una start-up donde vivió entre Barcelona y Malta
y descubrió lo que implica escalar de 70 a casi 400 personas en dos años.
Mich, por su parte, también dio el salto.

⚙️ Xavi decidió aprender a programar, decidido a seguir en el mundo tech.
Y entró en CloudBlue (filial de Ingram Micro).
Allí convenció a Mich para volver a trabajar juntos.
Y así fue: dos amigos, un equipo.
Colaboraron con RRHH, Ingeniería, Producto, Marketing, Ventas,
viviendo otro hypergrowth desde dentro.


🎤 ACTO III – NACE DAUXA
Después de tantas vueltas, la idea estaba clara:
Crear una empresa que acompañe la transformación real de personas y organizaciones.
No desde la teoría, sino desde la experiencia.
No con promesas, sino con procesos.
Así nació Dauxa.

Una mezcla de tecnología, comunicación, cultura y humanidad.
Porque ambos sabemos lo que es cambiar de país, de sector, de rol, de propósito.
Y lo único que permanece…
es la voluntad de evolucionar.
